Commitment to a sustainable future
KPA Pension is the pensions company that thinks one step ahead and assumes social responsibility by working for a sustainable future.

We are members of Global Compact, signifying that we have decided to support the ten UN principles about human rights, working conditions and a better environment.

KPA Pension closely follows the work which is currently being done by SIS (Swedish Standards Institute) in drawing up common guidelines in the world for assuming social responsibility in organisations, i.e. the ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Project.

Definite ethical investment criteria
KPA Pension is unique because we are the only pensions company offering only ethical investments. Pension funds are placed according to definite investment criteria in which human rights and the environment are two important considerations. This means that KPA Pension invests capital in companies whose activities make a positive contribution to social development and avoid investments in companies whose operations, products and services are plainly detrimental to people and the environment.

Environment work permeates the entire operation
Environment work is important to KPA Pension. This means we have control over our own environment impact and an action plan for continuous improvement within the environmental area. Furthermore, we participate in a tree-planting project in Africa, with the purpose of reducing the quantity of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. KPA Pension has signed UNEP, the UN declaration of environment and environmental care. In 1998, we were the first financial company in Europe to be environment certified according to ISO 14001.
